Thank God I'm a Suburban Girl

"THAT DOES IT!" I screamed as we left last weekend's country outing. "NO MORE COUNTRY FOR US!"
Yes, my friends, it was another stinkin' debacle.
I took my peeps out to Scottsville for pumpkin picking at Sto*koe Farms. We pulled into an overflowing parking lot and noticed a line snaking out of one of the buildings. I went up to a woman who worked there and said "we're just here to pick pumpkins." Nope, no sir-ee. It cost $8/person to enter the farm - it would include all sorts of cheesy toddler-ish activities. We stomped out of there and I returned to my senses - we were not meant for country livin'. It's best when we stay within 5 miles of our home unless we are vacationing.
Ahhhhhhhhh, Pittsford. Nothing says farm livin' like Pittsford.....

Everyone chose a pumpkin.......... that s/he could carry!

The obligatory group shot. Frances kept trying to ditch the pack.......

The willing models.......

Frances was "terrified" when Lewie tried to scare her by sticking his hand out of the teepee.......

Day is done, mission accomplished.........

EIGHT dollars? Yikes! In my day, people used to just STEAL pumpkins right out of the patch!
