Lewie: Have you been through a lot of wars?
Me: Ummmmm, no, why?
Lewie: I heard that old people like you have been through a lot of wars.
Me: Hmmmm, interesting.........

Lewie: Mom, did you invent electricity?
Me: No, why would you think that?
Lewie: You're wearing that old plaid shirt like they wore in the old days
Me: No, I'm just wearing an old plaid shirt but don't worry, it's just my jammies.
Lewie: You sure look like a guy who invented electricity.

My clever boy

Lewis is usually a deep sleeper who rarely gets up in the night, even to go to the bathroom. But every once in a while I will find him somewhere strange - sleeping on the couch or on his sisters' floor. I now have evidence that he sometimes gets up in the night to produce some entertaining videos. It is dark out, the house is quiet, and he is whispering so I know he was doing this in the middle of the night! Enjoy!

Holiday Roundup

The past 2 weeks have been a bit of a blur with all the merriment ....... and arguing children.

We started off all jolly and giddy - made some gaudy cookies......




I had the whole week of Xmas off from work but the kids had to go M,T, & W - is that beautiful or what? We're in different districts so our calendars are slightly different. Their first day of vacation was Xmas Eve. Off we went to my sister Anne's house. The kids love watching Santa's path on the computer. I do not know who that ghost is on the right........


When I was uploading photos, I found this on the computer! Frances used photobooth on the Mac to take a picture of our tree.


The other day I went for a walk with the kids and saw this on one of our neighbor's lawns. It's wrong on so many levels - the glittery garland, the folded up tablecloth, the creepy old doll, the fake flowers in the window boxes ..............
